ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL
ATKINSON STREET, SHIPLEY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC (NO 463) ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of works to install new sewer connection proposed to be executed on or near Atkinson Street, Shipley intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Atkinson Street, Shipley from its junction with Westgate to its junction with Commercial Street, Shipley. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road or to emergency service vehicles.
Essential vehicular access to premises for residents only will be allowed and pedestrian access with be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will
be available via Atkinson Street (unaffected part) - Westgate - Kirkgate -
A6038 Otley Road - Commercial Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect on 23rd November 2015 and
remain in force until 27th November 2015 (although the closure can remain
in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
