Sam Burgess admits slow-starting Bulls and Wigan are in the same boat ahead of Saturday’s televised tie.
Two of Super League’s traditional super-powers have endured rocky openings to the campaign.
Bradford have failed to win either of their two games so far, while wobbling Wigan only got off the mark at the fourth attempt with a narrow victory over Harlequins.
The Warriors had already suffered home losses to unfancied Wakefield and Castleford, with Bulls prop Burgess saying: “It’s similar for both of us.
“Wigan aren’t having as many wins as they’d have liked and we’re not getting the points we wanted.
“But that’s going to make for a massive match at the weekend and both will be fighting out for the points at the JJB.”
Burgess, 20, has urged supporters to remain patient following Friday’s loss against Huddersfield and a disappointing draw with Hull KR.
“We know it’s been frustrating for the fans to watch and it is for us to play in as well,” said the England international.
“We’ve got to fine-tune some stuff but not a lot will change, it’s just about finding the right pass or off-load.
“It’s frustrating but it is early in the season and nothing is won at this stage of the year. I’m confident we can get back to the top of Super League, it’ll just take a few games to get into the swing of it.
“We just have to make the right decisions with the ball and that’s what we’re aiming for on Saturday.”
In-form Burgess limped off against Huddersfield to give fans more reason for concern but he soon returned to the fray and will be fine for the crucial trip.
