Wigan 60 Bradford 12
The Bulls suffered a heavy 60-12 defeat against Challenge Cup finalists Wigan at the DW Stadium.
The Warriors threatened to run away with it early on and took the lead when George Carmont dived over from dummy half on five minutes.
A second try followed four minutes later, Ryan Hoffman touching down from a superb pass by Sean O'Loughlin, Pat Richards converting.
Carmont then doubled his own personal tally after a howler from Patrick Ah Van, who dropped the ball inside his own in-goal area.
The Bulls hit back when Brett Kearney palmed Marc Herbert's kick to Craig Kopczak, the prop enjoying a simple finish and Ah Van adding the extras.
And although Richards finished a good move to extend Wigan's advantage once more, Bradford responded before the break.
Paul Sykes knocked back Ben Jeffries' crossfield kick and 18-year-old John Bateman pounced to score his first senior try, Ah Van converting.
The loss of scrum half Herbert at half-time was a blow and although the Bulls battled gamely, they conceded eight firther tries.
Sam Tomkins gave Danny Addy the slip to start the procession and Josh Charnley finished a smooth move on the right three minutes later.
O'Loughlin touched down after good work from Sam Tomkins and Richards beat Sykes to a Paul Deacon kick to claim his second.
A Jeffries error allowed Sam Tomkins to race 90 metres for a superb individual try before Harrison Hansen powered through three goal-line defenders to register his first score.
Sam Tomkins collected after Shad Royston dropped the ball to send Charnley away and Richards completed the scoring - and his hat-trick - a minute from time.
