Phil Parkinson today promised evolution not revolution as he looks to build on his first point at the City helm.

Substitute Ross Hannah’s last-gasp equaliser at Morecambe got the Parkinson era off to a solid start.

And the new boss insisted he is no rush to change things as he settles into the job.

Parkinson said: “I’ve got a lot of work to do and there are a lot of things we need to improve. But that will be done stage by stage. It won’t happen overnight.

“I have found so many good people at this club this week. So many are prepared to give everything they’ve got for the cause of Bradford City on and off the pitch.

“There are a lot of people pulling in the right direction. I just hope we give it time and supporters will see a gradual improvement.”

City’s goal was created and finished from the bench as Hannah converted a cross from Jack Compton, who was left out to allow Kyel Reid his first start. New loan capture Jamie Devitt also shone as a substitute.
