City have recruited Wayne Allison to help coach their new development squad.
The 42-year-old former striker played around 800 games in a lengthy career, including two years under Bantams boss Peter Jackson at Huddersfield.
Jackson said: “Wayne will be the link with the first team and our youth development.
"He’s vastly experienced in coaching and psychology and has all the (UEFA) badges.
"It’s a long-term project with the development side and we’re delighted he is going to be part of that.”
