CITY youngster Reece Webb-Foster enjoyed his first taste of action for almost a year in the Bantams' 2-0 Central League (reserve) defeat against Port Vale at Apperley Bridge.
The striker from Haworth returned following a long lay-off after picking up a serious knee injury while on loan at Bradford Park Avenue last February.
He came on for the last 25 minutes along with German forward Joel Grodowski, who was making his first appearance in City colours having been sidelined with injury after signing last summer.
City attackers Omari Patrick and Dominic Poleon were given 65 minutes in a clash which Vale won thanks to late goals from Anton Forrester and Alex Kempster.
Youngsters Jordan Gibson, Daniel Devine and Daniel Pybus also featured against the Valiants.
CITY XI: Sykes-Kenworthy, Maltby, Wright, Hefele, Kirkpatrick, Milambo, Devine, Pybus, Gibson, Patrick (Webb-Foster 65), Poleon (Grodowski 65). Subs not used: Mullett, Powell, Ellington.
* Meanwhile, Luke Hendrie's move to Shrewsbury has been confirmed today. The full back has signed an 18-month deal with City's League One promotion rivals.
