CITY will not appeal Jordan Pickford's red card after learning that he will serve his one-game ban in the FA Cup replay on Wednesday.
Pickford's parent club Sunderland have not allowed him to play in the cup, so Ben Williams would have deputised against Millwall anyway.
Phil Parkinson was confident of getting the goalkeeper's dismissal overturned but has now decided not to go ahead with any appeal.
He said: "The indications from speaking to people were that we would have got it overturned but there's no point in appealing now just to make a point. It's wasting time.
"It's good news for us that Jordan will only miss the Millwall game."
City will monitor Andrew Davies in training today before deciding if he will be ready to return. Billy Clarke has also got a chance.
