City top scorer Nahki Wells is being tracked by Burnley.
Reports in Lancashire claim the Clarets have been monitoring the Bermudian striker regularly throughout the season.
Their 28-goal hitman Charlie Austin is expected to be off in the summer, with a number of Premier League and Championship clubs chasing his signature.
Burnley are likely to cash in before he enters the last year of his contract and have been looking round for potential replacements.
With 22 goals for the Bantams so far, Wells could fit the bill.
Leeds, Huddersfield and Wolves were all linked with him during the January transfer window but the club did not receive any offers.
Wells is contracted to Valley Parade for another two seasons so City would be in position to drive a hard bargain for their prize asset if there was serious interest.
