Three Peaks provide a spectacular backdrop
Tucked away in the corner of North Yorkshire, on the Lancashire border, is the spectacular course of Bentham. The famous Three Peaks of Yorkshire, Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent, form an outstanding backdrop, with particularly spectacular views of Ingleborough to be seen from the course. Bentham made the jump from nine holes to 18 in 2003, and while initially there were some financial heartaches, the net result is a course which is well worth visiting. |
Welcoming visitors and beginners along with keen golfers, this picturesque course is set in the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales’ magnificent Three Peaks. With a backdrop of the Lake District Fells too, it’s tough to keep your eye on the ball here amid the fabulous scenery.
Bentham offers an undulating parkland course where you can play 9 or 18 challenging holes before relaxing at 1922 Bar & Kitchen, the well-appointed clubhouse with bar and restaurant facilities..
The 8-bay driving range is a great way to hone your swing with a bucket of balls, while the Golf Shop provides everything to hire, from clubs through to buggies, along with clothing and accessories for sale, featuring a good ladies section.
Nestled amongst the fairways, the club offers accommodation on the course in Wenningdale Escapes’ en-suite, posh pods and luxurious lodges. Perfectly situated for peace and tranquillity amid the surrounding hills, this is a welcoming and family friendly place to stay for quality time combined with great golf. Relax on the private deck or enjoy the range of activities on the doorstep, with golfing, walking, cycling, and fishing all on hand. Prices from just £60 per person per night including golf.
