Marcel Seip this afternoon signed a new deal with City, keeping him at Valley Parade for the rest of the season.
The versatile Dutch defender had been on a three-month contract, which was due to run out on Saturday, and Phil Parkinson was delighted to get his future sorted.
Parkinson said: "Marcel has been terrific for us since arriving here.
"We've asked him to play in a number of positions and he has just got on with it and never moaned.
"That shows what a great professional he is."
Seip has played 17 games and scored his first City goal in the 2-2 draw against Morecambe.
