Park Avenue have completed the signing of Bradford-born Pakistan international Amjad Iqbal this evening.
Chief executive Bob Blackburn said: “This is a major coup for Bradford. I think Amjad is the best centre half in non-league football and signing his ilk shows our intentions.
“We have had to pay a fee for him. He comes to us on a two-year deal and is a superb addition.
“I think we now have a squad that will make us the strongest competitors should we get into the play-offs.
“We’re not just building for this year, we are building for years to come. For me, this squad would be a top-six outfit in the Blue Square North.
“Climbing the divisions will take time but we know where we are heading and I think everyone will be sure after the signing of Amjad.”
