Fleetwood Town 2, Guiseley 2
Guiseley dented the title hopes of Fleetwood Town and at the same time strengthened their own place in the play-offs.
Fleetwood could have caught leaders Witton Albion before Saturday but are now needing the Cheshire outfit to slip up.
Guiseley may have thought they should have won on the west coast but certainly would have settled for a draw before the game.
It was the first chance for manager Steve Kittrick to see new signing Lee Crooks in action. And he was not left disappointed as the former Bantams midfielder turned in a great performance.
So too did on-loan Bradford City winger Sean Taylforth.
It was the youngster who provided the cross for James Hanson to open the scoring with a 17th-minute shot. Crooks began the move, feeding Spaniard Jonathon Fernandez before his ball to Aron Wilford was in turn passed to Taylforth.
Fleetwood hit back when Jerome Watt netted a spectacular but wind-assisted cross-cum-shot on the half-hour and the home side led at the interval after Andy Bell scored with less than four minutes of the first half remaining.
Guiseley chipped away and they got their just deserts with a late equaliser.
With just two minutes on the clock, Taylforth whipped in a corner. The ball was not cleared and a square pass was rolled back to the winger, who snapped up his first chance to score for Guiseley from the corner of the area.
