MATT Kilgallon has signed for Scottish club Hamilton after leaving City by mutual consent.
Last season's player of the year had not been involved at all this season at Valley Parade.
City head of recruitment Greg Abbott said: “We would like to wish Matt the very best as he departs the club for pastures new.
“He has been a fantastic professional and, given the stage he is at with his career, he wants to be playing regular football.
“We don’t want to stand in the way of that and, having known Matt personally since he was a teenager, I want to wish him all the very best for the future on behalf of everyone at Bradford City.”
Kilgallon made 58 total appearances in two years at Valley Parade and scored four goals.
