GEORGE Milton revealed that Bulls' 'Super League standard' set-up was a big factor in him becoming the latest new arrival at Odsal.
The 22-year-old loose forward has penned a two-year deal with Bradford after joining from Hull KR.
The former Leeds Rhinos youth player, who has represented England at junior level, said: “I didn’t know what to expect when I first came down.
"I went around the facilities with (head of youth) John Bastian and was in awe. The gym is to a Super League standard, so is the pitch, and the stadium is incredible. We are just in the wrong division at the minute so hopefully we can just kick on next year.
“Everything is to a Super League standard and has a real feel-good factor about it. That’s what made me want to sign.”
The versatile forward, whose ability to offload in the tackle is one of his strongest attributes, joined Hull KR for the 2017 season having been with Doncaster last year.
He found his opportunities limited at Rovers and went out on loan to Sheffield Eagles, having also featured briefly at Hemel, Newcastle and York.
Milton is no stranger to some of the Bradford squad, having come though the Leeds ranks with Sam Hallas and Elliot Minchella, as well as spending time with Joe Keyes at England youth level.
He said: "Because I’ve played with them before we know how each other play and hopefully can bounce off that again and form some good partnerships.
“The primary goal for this year is promotion back to the Championship. Because I spent time playing in that league this year, I know what it takes to get us back, it’s where I want to be and then ultimately Super League. That is the aim.”
Milton added: “My primary position is loose forward. I like to carry the ball, tackle a lot and make some plays. I do a lot of pre-line plays and offloads, so I feel I could bring a lot to the team.
“I really want to come here, put my mark down on the team and play every week. I’m a Leeds lad, I grew up through the major rivalry so I know how big the club is."
