ETHAN Ryan revealed the calibre of recruits the Bulls have already secured for next season convinced him to stay.
The winger is the latest signing for 2018 and pinning him down on a two-year contract extension is seen as a major coup for the club.
Ryan was expected to join Leigh Centurions but that potential move fell down after they were relegated from Super League with last week’s loss in the Million Pound Game to Catalans Dragons.
But he has stayed at Odsal with the intention of breezing through League One in style after the club’s relegation.
Ryan said: “There are a lot of people that have experienced the highs of Super League in the side.
“Those boys will play a big role in next season as they help us to push on and create a strong team to build around.
“It is going to be really good, we will put on a show and score a lot of points.
“I feel like we will stand a really good chance with the people that we have kept on, so it has made my decision to stay at the club a lot easier.
“Hopefully now we can get into this league, kick on and try to win all of our games.”
Ryan scored 17 tries in 23 appearances this year, a haul which included some stunning finishes, and will be confident of filling his boots in the third tier.
Having joined the club at 16 and worked his way through the academy system, he is delighted to commit his immediate future to the Bulls.
“Bradford is all I have ever known professionally,” he added. “It is something that is really close to my heart – it is my team.
“To stay here for another two years is making it very important for me to help get the club back to where it should be. It’s all about getting a good squad together and going straight back up.
“Now that we have a fresh start, we have a year where we can get in a full pre-season and attack the season.
“We want to get straight back up, recruit even stronger, have a good year in the Championship and get back into Super League. That is the overall aim.”
