CITY are set to sign Blackpool keeper Colin Doyle this week, the Telegraph & Argus understands.
The 6ft 5in stopper, capped once by the Republic of Ireland, is expected to complete a deal within the next few days.
Doyle has an impressive reputation despite Blackpool’s relegation to League Two and will follow goalkeeping coach Steve Banks to Valley Parade.
Sources at Blackpool have confirmed that a League One club activated a clause in Doyle’s contract which would allow him to leave for next to nothing.
German trialist Rouven Sattelmaier is set to play in goal this afternoon at Guiseley.
