BRIGHOUSE Town Reserves moved top of the Lancashire League with a 3-0 win at Pontefract Collieries thanks to goals by George Dignam, Jack Normanton and Mark Everingham.
This result backed up an impressive 6-3 victory over Thackley which had increased their title hopes. Town trailed 2-0 and 3-1 but finished strongly with goals coming from Jack Normanton, Jean Khasa, Tobias Rawcliffe, Ash Scully, Adam Dennison and Sam Hewitt.
Thackley also suffered a setback in the Northern Alliance Under-19 League as they lost 2-0 at home to Liversedge, who boosted their hopes of finishing top with goals from Vaughan Redford and Kenny Tafireyi.
