OMARI Caro believes he has the answer to the Bulls’ dismal run of form: We are trying too hard!
Jimmy Lowes’ men hit rock-bottom after being given a pasting by Sheffield Eagles at Odsal and changes are expected for this weekend’s trip to Dewsbury.
Academy graduate Joe Lumb is poised to return and other young guns could also push for a place in the 17.
Lowes met with the Bulls’ hierarchy yesterday and has been backed to continue leading the side, with Steve Ferres stepping up his efforts to finally sign a recognised scrum half.
Winger Caro said: “I actually think we’re trying too hard during games at the moment.
“We’re not losing games through any lack of effort, although it might look like that, and we’re working hard in training to put things right.
“In the first 20 minutes against Sheffield, London and probably Halifax too, we did everything right.
“I think the boys are trying too hard, me included, and instead of just sticking with the gameplan we get a bit carried away trying to score points, when really it’s a case of seeing games out.
“If we get ourselves into the lead like we did on Sunday, we should just play boring for the next 60 minutes.”
Lowes questioned himself after the Sheffield surrender but Caro insisted: “Jimmy is the man for the job and I’ve got 100 per cent belief in him.
“He’s going to get some stick from the fans but he puts himself in a positon as a coach where everyone is looking at him.
“But all the boys have full faith in him and I don’t think there is any sort of problem at all.”
