The future of Bradford Bulls remained uncertain tonight as official documents revealed that potential new owner Mark Moore is no longer a director of the Super League club.
A ‘current appointments report’ at Companies House showed his appointment as director had been ‘terminated’ in an entry dated January 6, although further details were not yet available to view.
Neither Bedzrus owner Mr Moore nor club chief executive Robbie Hunter-Paul were available for comment.
But a club spokesman, when asked whether Mr Moore remained a director of the club, said: “Bradford Bulls cannot comment at this time as external communication may harm the productive, ongoing discussion between all parties.”
Talks involving Mr Moore, majority shareholder Omar Khan, directors Ian Watt and Andrew Calvert and the Rugby Football League were expected to continue on Thursday in a bid to resolve the ongoing dispute over the ownership of the club.
As the Telegraph & Argus has reported, owner Mr Khan has so far refused to transfer his stake in the club, claiming Mr Moore and former director and general manager Ryan Whitcut have not paid him an agreed sum for the sale of the business.
However, Mr Moore and Mr Watt and Mr Calvert – who later joined as investors – say they found “massive holes” in the club’s finances.
A spokesman for Companies House confirmed an ‘appointment terminated’ document in relation to Mr Moore had been received and should be available to view soon.
