SIR – With reference to the ongoing debate about the Park at the Heart, the majority of the letter writers, myself included, are against and infer also that the majority of the local residents are against it.
In spite of this the Council is going ahead anyway.
We have never had a chance to vote for a clear cut yes or no (the previous referendum was worded in a biased way and then only 2,700 or so people voted yes).
I would like to propose that all those people who would like to express an opinion but who feel that they cannot write to the T&A drop me a line saying simply yes or no.
I will then count these votes and report them to the T&A for publication in a month’s time.
Hopefully they will bear out what most of us feel and hopefully we can put pressure on the Council.
