FLAT cap fundraisers have helped to boost funds for a brain tumour charity.
Flat Cap Friday saw supporters donning the iconic Yorkshire headwear to raise £1,015 for Brain Tumour Research and Support across Yorkshire – formerly Andrea’s Gift, the charity set up in memory of Bradford mum-of-two Andrea Key who died from a brain tumour.
Sorrell Coulson, the charity's events and fundraising manager, said: “Thank you to all those that donned a flat cap and took a selfie, held their own Flat Cap Friday event and shared the campaign on social media. The support leading up to and on campaign day was incredible and everyone who has been involved has really got into the Flat Cap Friday spirit. We are really looking forward to putting plans in place for next year’s campaign, so make sure you get your flat cap ready."
Flat Cap Friday will take place on Friday, March 18, next year. For more information or to register your place, call 0113 247 3765 or email sorrell@btrs.org.uk.
