A 20-year-old man led police on a car chase across Bradford after he was seen smashing a vehicle window in a supermarket car park.
Connor Rayner, of Fagley Court, Fagley, Bradford, admitted dangerous driving and attempted theft.
He hit another car during the pursuit along Dudley Hill Road, Bowling Bank Lane and Sticker Lane.
He was arrested when his car was too wide too pass through bollards.
Rayner, recently married, was sentenced to 10 months, suspended for two years, with 150 hours of unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay £700 compensation, £300 costs and banned for two years.
