UKIP has announced an Ilkley resident as its candidate for the Keighley and Ilkley seat in the next General Election.
Paul Latham, who contested the same seat in 2010, was recently appointed as Constituency Manager for the Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire region to MEP Amjad Bashir, and is also co-regional organiser for the party.
He is chairman of the Yorkshire Dales Branch of UKIP and is also the party's spokesman for energy and wind turbine developments in the region.
Mr Latham has lived in Ilkley for 30 years and has a background in national and international business background. He and his wife, June, have two sons and the couple live in the Middleton district .
