Shipley’s iconic clock is chiming in the hours once again.
The clock is now right on time and has been lit so it can been seen in the evening.
Nathan Darlington, Bradford Council’s clock section manager, diagnosed the fault, made the parts and then fitted them to get the hands ticking again.
Funding for this, and earlier works to upgrade facilities in Shipley Market Square, came from Bradford Kickstart through the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative.
Councillor Adrian Naylor, the Council’s executive member for regeneration, said: “I am delighted that the clock is working again and I am sure the residents of Shipley will be pleased to hear the chimes back and see the correct time.”
