Llandeilo 16 Pembroke 3 Asda National League Division 4 West Llandeilo gained their second league win of the season with an unconvincing victory against a mediocre Pembroke side.
Despite dominating in all aspects of the game, the Blacks failed to take advantage of their superiority.
Coach Barry Williams was far from happy.
He said: "It's very disappointing, we suffered from white line fever and lacked composure."
The sides exchanged penalties in the opening quarter with the home side failing to take their chances on a number of occasions.
However after a series of failed attacks No8 Chris Moseley crashed over from a five-metre scrum to give the Blacks an 8-3 interval lead.
Llandeilo totally dominated the second half but Pembroke were resiliant in defence and dangerous on the break.
With a stream of possesion the Blacks increased their lead when skipper Arwel Davies came into the line and broke the defence to score out wide.
Fly-half Alex Vaughan-Morris sealed victory with a late penalty to secure the points.
Despite the win Llandeilo remain in the bottom half of the table.
"I'm looking for a big improvement in our finishing in the next few games," said coach Williams.
