SIR - Bradford councillor Arshad Hussain (Labour, Toller), who is chair of the Bradford Area Planning Panel, submitted a proposal for a three-storey detached house on a small patch of land on Nab Wood Drive in Shipley (T&A, February 19).
This was widely criticised by members of the Shipley Area planning panel, and by the planning officer, one stating that it was a "ridiculous application".
It has since been withdrawn by Cllr Hussain, but the worry is that he must have thought it acceptable when it was submitted.
This from a man serving on planning panels makes one wonder just what he does consider acceptable, what he is happy to support, and whether he should be on any such panel at all?
