SIR - Re your story on February 7: Question over Council spending extra £1.4m on market - if anybody had just landed back from Mars and wanted confirmation that Bradford Council is utterly incompetent and being led down the drain of insolvency, here you have it.
Sadly, our recent issues illustrate the failings of the local government machine. We have a laughably called Executive opining on a budget of over £400m yet none of them has any relevant business skills to suggest they could run a cake stall.
Simply watching them debate the main issues sends a shudder down your back such is their collective ineptitude as they mark time and collect their expenses.
Had they any decency they would realise this and resign - but they don’t.
