Two company directors will be attempting to complete 30 ten-kilometre runs in 30 days to raise money for charity One in a Million.
James Hamilton, director at Shipley-based Hamilton Bower Estate Agents, and Billy Bingham, director of Bradford-based Synergy People Solutions, will be attempting to run 186 miles in a target time of 35 hours.
The charity was set up by Bradford City assistant manager Wayne Jacobs to improve the lives of children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Mr Bingham said: “This is going to be a massive challenge for both James and I but I think we are ready for it.
“We have been training hard and feel confident we can hit the 35-hour target. My knees are a concern as they are not in the best of condition.
“I’ll be quite happy to take the swelling and the pain if it means we can raise our £1,500 target.”
The pair aim to complete the marathon fundraising event in November, starting on Monday, November 1, and finishing on Tuesday, November 30.
James Hamilton said: “It’s going to be a great test for us both but something we are both looking forward to.
“We want to help One in a Million as much as we can in terms of raising money.
“Wayne and everyone at the charity works so hard to give the kids they work with some real direction and purpose in their lives.”
Paul Langton, of the One in a Million charity, said the money will go towards their work across the district.
He said: “It is their own initiative and we really appreciate the effort that these guys are putting in.”
