Andy Myers is mulling over a move to Colchester.
The former City defender is understood to be considering a switch to the Second Division club after an approach by Colchester boss Phil Parkinson.
The Essex club are hunting for a left back and left-sided midfielder after missing out on Paul Heckingbottom. He had talks at Layer Road but instead opted to join the Bantams.
Myers, player of the year for City in 2001-2002, was restricted by injuries last season and appeared in less than half the games.
The 29-year-old Londoner, who signed for City from Chelsea for £800,000 in 1999 for the Premiership, is keen to return back south. He has previously been linked with Gillingham.
Meanwhile, Juanjo is believed to have gone back to Spain to look for a new club.
