ANDY Baggett will captain Wharfedale next season in succession to Andy Hodgson, who is unlikely to play for a major part of the 2004/5 campaign, (writes Tony Simpson).
Baggett, who arrived in Threshfield four years ago from Middlesbrough via the Yorkshire 18 Group clubs side as a fly-half, is 22 and will be one of the youngest players to be given the reins at The Avenue since director of rugby Michael Harrison took charge on leaving Leeds University. He was also 22 and had captained the university side during his time there.
