LANES on a motorway have been closed after a car fire has led to "significant fuel spillage".
National Highways: Yorkshire said on X at 6.14pm that a vehicle was on fire on the eastbound carriageway of the M62, between junction 22 (Denshaw) and junction 23 (Huddersfield).
A spokesperson for the highways agency said this "also resulted in a significant fuel spillage".
They added: "Our contractors are en-route to assist with clear-up works.
"There's an hour delay on approach."
Lanes one and two (of three) are closed while the situation is dealt with.
