FIREFIGHTERS in Bradford district came to the aid of a cat who got into a spot of bother.

Lego, a tabby, went out for a stroll last week but seemingly forgot he lived on a third-floor flat.

The moggy ended up stuck on a first-floor roof canopy - but Shipley firefighters and the RSPCA came to the rescue.

The drama happened at Oswald Street in Shipley.

In a post on social media site X, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "What a a total cat-astrophe!

"'Lego' nipped out for some fresh air on Thursday last week, forgetting he lived in a third floor flat and found himself stuck on a first-floor roof canopy.

"Luckily for 'Lego', Shipley Blue Watch were able to save the day alongside the help of RSPCA."
