A WORLD-renowned magician from Bradford will bury himself alive in a TV special set to feature several star names.

In the two-hour programme broadcast live on Sky Max, Dynamo, who grew up as Steven Frayne in Delph Hill near Wyke, will speak with Tyson Fury, Demi Lovato, Coldplay, Cara Delevingne, and Steven Bartlett.

From walking on water to levitating above skyscrapers, the magician has become famous around the world for doing the impossible.

He will now aim to defy the odds and go beyond magic in the new show Dynamo is Dead.

The 40-year-old will dig his own grave in preparation for his perilous and climactic feat six feet under, which will culminate in him laying Dynamo to rest. 

Sky said: "Dynamo is Dead will see the magician go on a journey of both loss and hope. In the darkness, Dynamo hit rock bottom after challenging battles with his mental health and the loss of his identity.

"But then in the light, he found strength in sharing his climb to recovery, and rebirth as he moves to into the next phase of his life and career.  

"Viewers will follow Dynamo’s journey told through recent powerful conversations with standout icons including Tyson Fury, Demi Lovato, Coldplay, Cara Delevingne and Steven Bartlett.

"Each moment with the star-studded line-up takes both Dynamo and viewers one step closer to discovering his freedom, breaking the illusions we hide behind as the icons uncover magic within themselves, before the grand finale."

He has been a star on stage and TV screens for more than 10 years.

His previous illusions have included him walking across the River Thames, hovering above The Shard in London, and walking down The LA Times building.

He has pulled jewellery through the glass of a locked cabinet, disappeared into a pile of clothes, and levitated above the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro.

Dynamo established himself as one of the world’s best-known magicians with his Magician Impossible TV series, which aired in more than 180 countries.

Dynamo is Dead will air live at 9pm on Sky Max and streaming service NOW on Thursday, December 14.
