A LANDSLIP is set to cause disruption on train routes near Bradford until the end of this weekend.
A landslip between Dewsbury and Ravensthorpe means some lines towards Huddersfield / Brighouse are blocked.
As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or diverted.
Although trains are able to run in the opposite direction towards Leeds at line-speed, services may also be cancelled due to the displacement of trains and crew.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day this Sunday (November 12).
Routes affected include Northern services between Leeds and Wigan Wallgate.
TransPennine Express services between Leeds and Huddersfield, and between Saltburn and Manchester Airport, and between Newcastle / Scarborough and Manchester Piccadilly, also between Hull / Newcastle and Liverpool Lime Street
Northern's advice for customers today: Services running between Leeds and Wigan Wallgate via Dewsbury in both directions will be diverted via Bradford Interchange. Morley, Batley, Dewsbury, Mirfield and Brighouse will not be served.
TransPennine Express' advice customers for today: Tickets dated November 8 will be valid for travel up to and including Monday, November 13.
All TransPennine Express services from Leeds to Huddersfield in this direction only will be diverted where possible.
Rail replacement transport has been requested to run between Leeds and Huddersfield in both directions.
