TRAFFIC was queueing on a motorway this morning after a lorry set on fire.
The blaze happened on the westbound carriageway of the M62, near junction 21 (Lofthouse) and involved one vehicle.
It was first reported at 5.57am, according to the AA.
Lane one (of two) had to be closed while the fire was extinguished and the lorry was cleared.
All lanes reopened just after 7am.
But traffic was still stretching back to junction 30 (Rothwell) and 10 minutes was being added onto normal journey times.
Congestion was being made worse in the area by ongoing roadworks on the motorway.
