A TWO-bedroom cottage in Bell Busk, near Coniston Cold, its attached barn and next door former cow shed - both with planning consent for residential conversion, are on the market with a combined price of more than £1million.

Ghyll Skye Cottage, described as bordering open countryside, on a generous plot with private parking, and with potential to extend, has a price tag of £325,000. The attached stone barn, part of the original farm, is also up for sale for £325,000.

Agents, David Hill, say the barn, with 'delightful views over open countryside', has full planning permission for conversion to form a four bedroom family home and detached double garage.

The next door modern-built, steel-framed former cow shed, with planning permission for conversion to a four bedroom home, is on the market for £395,000. Built in around 1980, and used up until 2013, its lower walls are former railway sleepers.

Permission for its conversion was given in January after owner, Sutcliffe Construction, was allowed prior approval by Craven District Council,  under general permitted development.
