OTLEY Live music festival is back this summer, celebrating its second year with a larger and more diverse range of acts. Over 50 bands and artists from an exciting range of rock, indie, folk, electronica, ska/reggae and punk music will be playing at ten venues from Friday, July 29 to Sunday, July 31.
Otley Live features a mixture of free daytime events and ticketed events at venues in the evening. Free events will take place at Woolpack Music Studios and Otley Courthouse on Saturday, Otley Tap House, Saturday and Sunday, and on a big stage on the Market Square on Sunday.
Ticketed events will take place at Otley Courthouse, The Black Horse, The Rookery, The Labour Rooms, Otley Social Club on Weston Lane, TNT (Tapas and Tunes), the Horse and Farrier, and Otley Rugby Club.
Otley Music Alliance is promoting the festival with support from Otley Town Council and the Otley BID. Further information about tickets can be found by following ‘Otley Live’ on social media and via https://linktr.ee/otleylive. Festival highlights include:
Indie-folk/Americana legends, The Dunwells, performing a three-night residency at the Rookery following the release of their new album.
Friday evening’s programme features Oasis cover band Fakermaker at the Courthouse, local legend Mik Artistik at The Black Horse, punks Nosebleed at the Labour Rooms, latino band Carioca Soul at TNT, ‘Folk at the Farrier’ with Jon Palmer, and a showcase of local young bands at Otley Social Club.
On Saturday afternoon, The Gulls, Jaayns, Sarah Carey, Sleepkick, and Ale Marys will play on the outdoor stage at Woolpack Music Studios, while Otley Courthouse will host Otley Brass Band and Sally’s Army choir. In the evening, Otley Courthouse has Commoners Choir, with reggae band Trenchtown UK playing at Otley Rugby Club, White Ribbons and The Dead Hamster Society at the Labour Rooms, Black Bear Bones at Otley Tap House, and ‘electric mayhem’ bands at TNT.
On Sunday afternoon, the Market Place stage will host Guiseley band, The Elephant Trees, Kinaara, Premaura, Rubber Rose and the amazing 8-piece funk-soul outfit, Haggis Horns. Otley Live will close with local bands, Summercross and The Names, playing at Otley Rugby Club and Stealing Tamar at Otley Tap House.
