A MAN died in Shipley yesterday evening following a medical emergency.
A witness reported a "large police presence" with "five police cars and a police van" in attendance on Market Square.
They added that a cordon had been placed outside The Sir Norman Rae Wetherspoon pub, with two police officers "standing guard" outside.
This morning, West Yorkshire Police confirmed that a man died shortly after 7.30pm.
A spokesperson said: "Police were called by the ambulance service to Market Square, Shipley at 19.36 yesterday evening to reports of a medical emergency.
"A man sadly died. A file is being prepared for the coroner."
