THE Bradford city centre branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland will shut its doors for good in March.
Based on Bank Street, the branch is one of 29 that has been earmarked for closure by Natwest Group, the owners of RBS.
March 30 will be the final day of business for the branch, which is based in a Grade II listed building.
The company said: "With the ease of mobile and digital banking fewer people are coming into the bank. This means we’ve had to make some tough choices about which can stay open."
Explaining why the it was choosing to close the Bank Street branch, Natwest said there were just four personal customers who visited the branch in person on a regular basis, even before the Covid 19 pandemic.
It was, however, used by 123 business customers on a regular basis.

As a further sign that the building's days as a bank are numbered, a planning application to remove any banking features from the listed building has this week been approved by Bradford Council.
The Natwest Group applied to remove the building's night safe and ATM, as well as any signage to the branch, before they handed the building back to the landlord.
The scheme was approved, with Conservation officers saying the removal of the banking features would not harm the listed building - which dates back to 1876.
