TRAFFIC has now eased on the M62 after a HGV load caught fire this morning.
The lorry was carrying 25 tonnes of acid batteries, which leaked onto the road on the M62 Eastbound between J27 M621 (Gildersome) and J28 A653 Dewsbury Road (Tingley).
Lanes two and three (of three) were closed until around 12.35pm, while there was also a breakdown within the queues.
Fire engines from Morley, Hunslet, Dewsbury and Cleackheaton fire stations, as well as specialist officers, arrived to tackle the fire.
The incident has now been resolved.
