FOUR cars were destroyed in a fire overnight.
Firefighters were called to Forward Mill, Goulbourne Street, Keighley, at 12.35am, where the cars were ablaze.
The fire had spread to a mill building, but a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the damage was limited to the window and around the window as the sprinkler system had activated.
Six breathing-apparatus sets were worn and three hose reels used to bring the blaze under control.
Special high-pressure fans were also brought in to help clear smoke.
"Fortunately sprinklers in the building had activated which limited the spread of the fire inside the two-storey premises," said watch commander Chris Burke, of Keighley fire station.
"Fire damage was limited to windows and a small area inside the unit."
Crews from Keighley, Bingley and Silsden fire stations – and police – attended.
They were at the scene for around three-and-a-half hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
