A car on fire on the M62
TWO lanes of the M62 have been reopened after a van fire.
The incident was on the westbound carriageway of the M62 near junction 27 for Gildersome.
Police and the fire services have now cleared the scene.
Motorists were advised to take care on approach.
The vehicle fire was on the hard shoulder and lane one had to be closed for safety reasons.
There was also a lane closed on the entry slip road.
There are severe delays of 15 minutes on M62 Westbound between J28 A653 Dewsbury Road (Tingley) and J26 M606 (Chain Bar). Average speed 10mph.
