POLICE were called to a primary school's church after reports of a dead body in the church grounds.
Officers attended at 10.20am on Friday, and the body of a woman was found dead in the grounds of St Columba's Catholic Church, next to St Columba's Catholic Primary School.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said the woman's death is not being treated as suspicious, and the coroner has been informed.
Father Solomon Bulus, parish priest at St Columba's, said the discovery was "sad and devastating".
He said: "The woman was found after morning Mass on Friday.
"It is sad and devastating to me. I live on the church grounds and look out of my window every day, and the image of her keeps going through my mind."
He added that the woman has now been formally identified.
