WORK to fill in sinkhole which appeared in a street in Baildon will continue next week.
An area of pavement on a pedestrian crossing in Browgate (pictured) gave way last month causing a large cavity underground.
Louanna Winch, Baildon Town Council clerk, gave an update on the ongoing operation on the authority’s Facebook page.
She posted: “Next week, should see the pouring of concrete to create blocks which then take approximately seven days to cure. When this process is complete, the shoring up of the services will begin.
“Once the support is in place, work can begin on clearing and repairing the culvert.
“We have been given assurances by the site manager, that ongoing work will not affect the farmers market on Saturday, October 28, and we would ask local residents for their ongoing support in attending the market.”
