STAFF at a Bradford car firm were given a shock when their office gardens were invaded by a herd of around 50 cows.
The cows managed to escape from a farm before negotiating a busy road to get the lawns of JCT600's headquarters in Apperley Bridge, where they stopped to graze.
Staff from the offices had to herd the cows out of the grounds, most dressed in suits, with British Touring Cars racer and son of chief executive John Tordoff, Sam Tordoff mucking in to help the team out.
Helen Lawton, sales support coordinator at JCT600, watched on as the events unfolded.
"It was a very interesting morning," she said.
"They must have escaped from the farm across the road and thought or grass looked great, there was about 50 of them in the end.
"Pretty much everyone in the building was trying to herd the cows out, it was quite amusing seeing people in suits trying to herd cows, and Sam helped out too.
"It's not everyday you see cows come into your work, we thought we were being replaced!"
The cows were eventually returned to the farm safely.
