A spokesman for Bradford fire station said when they arrived the building was already "well alight".
He said: "There were six fire engines called to the garage, and we managed to stop the fire spreading to surrounding buildings.
"Crews are still on site damping down and the fire is now out.
"A fire investigation officer will be going back this morning to try and discover how the fire happened."
