A BRADFORD company will collect equipment for this year’s Bradford Dragonboat Festival after answering a plea from organisers on social media.
Christeyns, based in Rutland Street, stepped in to offer one of its 40 tonne trucks to collect pontoon equipment from Shropshire for this year’s event, which takes place in Roberts Park, Saltaire, between Friday, May 5, and Sunday, May 7.
Nick Garthwaite, Christeyns managing director, said: “It was something we needed to do after I saw it on social media. I would have felt guilty if we had not have helped. It is a wonderful event and this year it is bigger and better.”
