Body found in canal
THE body of a woman has been found in a canal today.
Police were called to Station Road in Mirfield at about 9am following reports of a body in the water near to the Lidl car park.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said enquiries were at an early stage, but that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out to find a cause of death.
