FIREFIGHTERS were called to extinguish a car fire outside Nelson Street Police Station, in Bradford.
One appliance from the Bradford station was sent and used one hose reel to deal with the fire.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A female driver in a Toyota Avensis had been sitting in the parked car near the police station when she smelled burning plastic at around 4.30pm yesterday, Friday.
"She got out of the car and a fire started in a front compartment. It is not known what caused the fire.
"The fire was extinguished promptly and no damage was caused to adjacent buildings or vehicles."
