A TEN-DAY festival of free walking, cycling, and sustainability events will start in Bradford on Monday.
The event is being held to celebrate the end of the Sustrans 'Learning to Travel Differently' project, with sessions running at venues across the city until Wednesday, March 16.
Learning to Travel Differently - a partnership between Sustrans, Bradford Council, the University of Bradford, Bradford College, and Cycle-re-Cycle - was a project aimed at increasing travel by bike, foot, and public transport to the college and university.
The festival opens on Monday with an inspirational talk by the mountain adventurer Kevin Walker entitled 'Walking as Way of Life', which will take place at the Richmond Building at the University of Bradford from 6.30pm.
Other highlights include a slide show and talk on tackling climate change, entitled 'From Hard Rain to Whole Earth', by Mark Edwards, which will take place at Kala Sangam on Thursday from 6pm, and a talk on 'Cycling the World and the Kindness of Strangers' by Reece Gledhill, at Bradford College's Lister Art Gallery from 6pm on Tuesday, March 15.
